ARRANGEMENT OF TOURIST PATHS

Municipality Štrigova
In Municipality Štrigova 46 kilometers of hiking – bicycling paths, that lead through wine road and beautiful landscape and connect significant cultural-historical locations and tourist attractions, were arranged. Newly arranged paths lead through Štrigovčak, hill rich in vine, across the arranged natural spring to the peak of Tkalec – Mađerka hill, where beautiful view spans on entire upper Međimurje, Zagorje hills, and Wine road of Jeruzalem hills, to Pohorje and Austrian Alps on one side and Panon valley all the way to Hungary on the northwestern side. Paths are marked with information boards and litter baskets, and drainage system is arranged. 

Municipality Nedelišće
Municipality Nedelišće has rebuilt 11,5 kilometers of tourist paths that lead through beautiful forested areas all the way to border with Slovenia. Paths are channeled; pathway and information boards are set, resting places with litter baskets are placed.

Municipality gornji Mihaljevec
Municipality Gornji Mihaljevec has rearranged 4,5 kilometers of hiking-bicycling paths that lead through beautiful forested areas all the way to the border with Slovenia and that connect to the Wine road of Međimurje. In village Gornji Mihaljevec sports-recreational park „Mladost“ was built, that is connected to the trim path, that is equipped with various exercise devices. Path was equipped with litter baskets and sign-posts. Also, a historical statue "Suffering Jesus“ was restored.


ARANGEMENT AND EQUIPMENT OF TOURIST INFORMATION CENTRE

Tourist Information Centre is placed in the very centre of Štrigova. It is equipped with complete equipment that is necessary for functioning. Through project „Tourist zones of Prlekija and Međimurje“ complete equipment was acquired: notebook, copy and fax machine, projector, projection panel and digital camera. All equipment is used for implementation and presentation of the project. Tourist Information Centre has become an important chain in development and promotion of tourist zone.    

 

PRESENTATION OF PROJECT “TOURIST ZONES OF PRLEKIJA AND MEĐIMURJE”

Općina Nedelišće, project partner, had planned an activity for acquiring tent that will be used for presentation of the project and project partners. Tent was acquired and presented on the MESAP fair in Nedelišće where activities of other partners in project were presented. The tent will also be used in conduction of future projects that will be conducted in cooperation with partners.
We have also promoted the Project “Tourist zones of Prlekija and Međimurje” on other important manifestations, such as: Days of lace, Lepoglava; Eno-gastronomy fair; St. Urban’s day of wine in Zrinski County, and crossborder partner Municipality Ljutomer has organized participation on the tourism fair in Ljubljana, and Graz in Austria. Groups of visitors have been cooperatively organized that have visited wine roads of Prlekija and Međimurje.

The tent will be transferred in ownership of Municipality Nedelišće where it will be further used for various activities, especially in tourist zones of Prlekija and Međimurje.

 

05.06.2008 Workshop: CULTURAL-HISTORICAL HERITAGE

Short review : Mr. Grula has presented existing knowledge about cultural-historical heritage of Međimurje and connection points with Prlekija. He presented how heritage can be very good and necessary foundation for quality tourist offer, how to find and explore interesting facts of the area and how to present them to visitors, specifics of tourist visits, and flexibilities of offerers, also, successful practice examples from Croatia as well as wider. With large interest of participants, they have discussed possibilities of improvement of tourist offer based on cultural-historical heritage for Međimurje.

Kratak osvrt: Mr. Kovačić has presented specifics of Međimurje gastronomy as well as offering catering service in tourism of Međimurje. He addressed the present state as well as possibilities of further development, and moderated discussions with participants. Participants have also prepared meals and tried themselves in food decoration. Workshop had rather large response.

Kratak osvrt: Workshop has indeed proven very interesting for the participants that were able to listen to ways of increasing the quality of the service in the countryside household, importance and ways of communicating with the clients, examples from neighboring countries, and exchange personal experiences with moderation  of Mr. Grula. Afterwards, desire was expressed for continuation of the cooperation and more specialized workshops for the targeted groups

 

31.05.2008 Workshop: OFFER OF THE WINE ROAD

Kratak osvrt: Mr. Grula has presented on the workshop the existing state on the wine road of Međimurje as well as project partners’ area in Slovenia, and potential directions of development. Discussion was developed out of lecture between participants that started to express their own opinions and projections of possible directions of winery services as well as the ways of improving the service or the offer on the wine road itself. Particular participants were present at the individual counseling, wanting to find out more about applications of their own project ideas connected to the wine road to different funds.

 

 

29.05.2008 Workshop: MARKETING IN TOURISM

Kratak osvrt: Lecturer Rudi Grula presented the need of implementing and paying more attention to marketing in tourism of the zone Prlekija-Međimurje, creating entire marketing cycle from idea, production to placement on the targeted market, and the proof of how large the interest is for creating circled story of higher quality of the products in the mentioned zone is the number of participants as well as active participation of participants in the workshop with numerous questions and comments. Interested participants have used a unique opportunity after the workshop to consult individually about matters of their interest concerning the subject with Mr. Grula.    

 

26.05.2008 Workshop: HANDCRAFTS (HOUSEHOLD TRADE)

Kratak osvrt: Workshops handcrafts / household trades were held by Mirjana-Biber Hren. She demonstrated to the participants first how particular craft is performed, connected to the potential enrichment of offer on the wine road, and characteristic for the area, after which the participants themselves tried out particular processes of the handcraft work such as: weaving, knitting, pottery, making of hay roofs. Through the workshop and later consultations participants have discussed possibilities of improving the existing offer of their own households as well as of the offer of the wine road of Međimurje.
